Aftercare
After receiving your tattoo, I will clean you up and apply your first dermal bandage. During this time, I'll have explained the application process and following aftercare instructions:
- The first bandage will be worn for the first 24 hours, when it comes time to be changed (preferably in the shower), wash it with a fragrance-free soap and rinse well before patting with a clean paper towel and allowing the area to air dry.
- After air drying fully, it is time to apply the second bandage. Before application clean around the tattoo with alcohol to remove any oils from your skin.
- When applying the second bandage to your clean skin, have the area it is being applied to in a relaxed position, and make sure you allow an 1"-1 ½" of excess bandage around the tattoo. Cutting the corners will help to prevent any lifting. It is also ideal to avoid sweating and high amounts of movement for the longevity of the bandage.
- Leave this bandage on for a minimum of 5 days, if taken off sooner it may cause interference with the healing process and is not recommended. If it is necessary to remove the bandage prematurely contact me for further instructions.
